My studio’s busy year-round with some kind of glass activity, including workshops. Every year I get hooked on a new idea or technique. I’m captivated every day I get to play with GLASS! I've been working this art media in some form since the 70's. Like many people, I started with stained glass. Later on, I attended Cal Poly's glassblowing program and learned how to fuse 'warm glass' along the way.

People seem fascinated that I make BOTH blown & fused glass here, since the techniques and time involved are so different. Guests enjoy changes that happens with molten glass during my 'hot glass blowing season', November-March. And they can't believe results when we open fused glass kilns the rest of the year, too, seeing how intense heat has melded designs into flat smooth surfaces for slumping into forms.

This year I’ve been ‘combing’ glass projects with a special metal raking tool to create eye-catching designs, each one unique. This tricky method’s not for the faint of heart, since artists must manipulate REALLY HOT GLASS in a kiln by scraping a stainless steel tool across the surface of the molten glass several times. This repeated motion makes colors blend & streak in unique 1-of-a-kind patterns. The result is very cool.

By combining these 2 techniques, I've created many affordable functional & decorative hand-blown & fused glass masterpieces: home & garden décor, serving dishes, gift items, paperweights, hanging globes & designer glass jewelry. We’re a year-round private production studio, open to the public 1-4 pm, Saturdays & Mondays, & by appointment.  GPS doesn't always work here, so LOOK FOR MY SIGNS; Central Coast Glass Blowing and Fusing’s across from Noi's Thai Food.
